Tiny Tots Bee Experience

Ages: 4-10 | Approx. 60 minutes

Introduce your little one to the amazing world of bees in a fun, safe, and hands on way! This experience is designed to spark curiosity and create a love for nature, animals, and where our food comes from.

Children will:

  • View inside a live observatory

  • Explore beekeeping tools and equipment

  • Learn basic bee facts

  • See what happens inside a hive

  • Participate in a bee-themed activity

  • Enjoy a honey tasting experience

Please note: This experience does not include opening active hives or handling live bees.

 

 

Junior Beekeepers Experience

Ages: 7–14 | Approx. 90 minutes

A hands-on adventure where kids get to step into the world of beekeeping! Perfect for young explorers who love animals, science, and learning how things work.

Children will:

  • Learn hive safety and beekeeping basics

  • Put on protective bee gear

  • Participate in an active hive inspection 

  • Learn about the queen, brood, honey, and pollen

  • Discover how bees make honey

  • Experience what it’s like to be a beekeeper

A fun educational experience they won’t forget!

 

 

 

A Morning in the Bees

Adult Bee Experience 15+ | 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Ever wondered what it’s really like to step into a bee hive? This is an opportunity to experience beekeeping firsthand without committing to a full course. Come spend the morning alongside the bees and learn what happens inside the hive.

Guests will:

  • Learn basic hive safety

  • Put on a bee suit

  • Open an active hive with guidance

  • Observe the inner workings of the colony

  • Learn about the queen, brood, honey, and pollen

  • Ask questions and learn from an experienced beekeeper

  • Enjoy a honey tasting experience

No previous beekeeping experience required.

 

 

Beginner Beekeeping Class

8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Ready to start your own beekeeping journey? This beginner-friendly class covers the foundations needed to confidently begin keeping bees and understanding your hive.

This class includes:

  • Honeybee biology and behavior

  • Choosing the right hive setup

  • Equipment and supplies needed

  • Where to place your hives

  • Buying bees and getting started

  • Seasonal hive management

  • Feeding and caring for bees

  • Common pests and challenges

  • Honey harvesting basics

Hands-on experience:

  • Suit up and enter the apiary

  • Learn how to inspect frames

  • Identify healthy hive activity

  • Practice basic hive inspection skills

Includes:

  • Lunch
